Who am I?
My name is Sanchia and I live to travel.
What is True East?
If you’re looking for city guides, I can point you to some great blogs, but this isn’t one of them. If you’re looking for something more introspective, perhaps about all the weird and wonderful ways in which travel improves our lives, then let’s be friends.
“Sanchia at True East writes beautiful, thoughtful things about travelling and how it changes your ideas and your horizons. It’s a travel blog with a hell of a brain!” Lydia
What now?
Take a look at some favourites from the notebook and through the lens. (Don’t worry if you get lost – just use the menu in the top-right corner.)
I love your blog. It is so unique, yet easy to navigate and understand. I love that it is more of a reflection to travel than simply checklists and to-do lists. It enhances the romantic side of travel. I’m looking forward to reading more.
Hi Mani! Thanks so much, this is such a sweet comment. I’m glad you can connect with my blog! Hope I can keep it up.
Your blog is *gorgeous*! Love the theme – clean, sophisticated and uncomplicated….and your images are top-notch.
Looking forward to seeing a lot from you!
Hi Jules! Thank you very much, I’m so happy you like it – the photos especially, I’m never sure if they’re any good! Thanks for reading and following, I really appreciate it. 🙂
Hi Sanchia! Thanks for dropping a comment on my blog. You have great writing style. I like your blog, not just the clean layout but the contents as well. Your photos are equally superb!
No problem, I think it’s important to keep in touch with all my fellow travel bloggers! Thanks so much for stopping by. 🙂
I really like how you are using the Espied theme, but I can’t work out how you set the blog on the first page. Are you using the portfolio feature, or have you done some CSS coding? And your work itself is great too!
It’s just a static front page, I don’t use any paid features on WordPress. Thanks for dropping by!
Thanks! I understand it now. Very clever. Very effective.
Im having trouble figuring that out as well actually. I made 4 portfolio projects and set my static front page to said portfolio but it doesn’t let me include my blog on the page. Did you somehow make the posts page a child of the portfolio?
sorry for the trouble I’m new to all of this.
That’s okay, we were all new once! Honestly, my front page is literally just a static page, and just has separate links off to my about page, my blog and my photo projects page. I don’t have any nested pages or anything like that going on. 🙂 Hope that makes more sense!
Poking around to see what you may have to say about Berlin thanks
Interesting way of organising the blog…
Thanks Nina, glad you like it 🙂
Your blog is just beautiful! I love your writing and analogue feel to your pictures. As of now I’m a follower 🙂
Cheers Erik! I’m a sucker for analogue photography, I mostly use my DSLR and spend all my time trying to make the photos look like the ones I get from my 70s Polaroid haha 😀
Me to, I love film photography! Especially black and white. As of lately I’m really drawn into that. Practice makes perfect I guess.. 🙂
Hello! I love your blog and have nominated you for the Liebster Award: http://ellisgoesonholiday.wordpress.com/2014/11/11/liebster-award-ii-the-sequel/ I hope you have fun passing it on and happy blogging!
Hi! Your blog is top-notch. Really impressive! Probably the most well-done that I’ve ever seen! Really like your travel blog! You got yourself a new follower!
If you want to check out my blog, that would be cool!

Thanks Steve! High praise indeed, I’m very flattered. 🙂 I’ll be sure to stop by your blog – thanks again for reading.
Your blog has a beautiful design & layout.
Dear Sanchia,
I absolutely LOVE your blog, it is so beautiful! I was wondering how you made the project “Blog” go straight to your blog page? Sorry, I am very new to this Espied / Portfolio theme!
